Research has shown that Nigeria has one of the largest population of people living with sickle cell disease in the world; with over 150,000 babies born with this serious condition every year.

We have recognized this menace and to this fact, we have substantial contributions to the Genotype Foundation, which is a voluntary Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) concerned with providing care for people with the sickle cell disease.

The primary focus areas are:

  1. Creating awareness about the prevention and control of sickle cell disorder
  2. Determining Blood Group Rhesus Factor
  3. Malaria control in sickle cell disease through education, screening and counselling.
